Update for the participants

We would like to reassure our participants that the conference will proceed as planned. We have been monitoring the daily events in Taksim Square and seeking input from multiple stakeholders. The Conference will be held only in Cevahir Hotel & Convention Center, which is located in a quiet business district of Istanbul, some distance away from Taksim.

Currently, we are advising our participants to take care in Taksim area where no activities for the conference are planned. The main tourist area is located south of this site and normal day-to-day life and tourism continues in these areas as normal throughout the past weeks. Taxis are readily available within Istanbul and there has been no disruption to the Metro within the City.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all. However, each individual must make their own decision about the conference.
